Aside from the digital graphics, "I Am Legend" was good, and I liked "28 Days Later" since I first saw it. Not much on the zombie-horror, gruesome stuff...I'd much rather have a good story than gore.
Shaun of the dead is my current fav, although a ndw movie called Cockneys vs Zombies might take over, pensioners with shotguns!
Does "Evil Dead" qualify as a zombie movie? Thats kind of a Lovecraft influenced demon movie, but the people who were possessed by demons became what looked like zombies...
That was the movie that propelled the career of the best actor in film history, Bruce Campbell, who can now be seen on USA network's "Burn Notice". LOL
I recommend that you do not watch it. Zombies can fly. Zombies can scheme.
They even remade "Bub", lol lol lol. He doesn't hurt people because before he transformed, he was a vegetarian, and they put chlorine on his bite wound, lol.
Hope all is well with your Fenix shipment. I will be picking up a T60CS and TK41.
I may pick up one of the next round of Fenix bike lights too.
To: CPFbiology: I wasnt yet a flashaholic at the time I watched the Dawn of the Dead remake, so I didnt notice their lights, but I would now. I have actually watched that remake of Dawn of the Dead like 3 times, and its pretty good. I mean its all relative though, as zombie movies arent going to be nominated for Oscars any time soon!
Zombies can fly in the Day of the Dead remake? Wow... They can scheme too huh? They have really evolved apparently.
I finally was able to locate the Fenix TK41 after it got lost in Ga, and an on the ball post office worker in my home town noticed that it had been scanned again after 4 days, but that it was being sent to their lost mail center, so she called me and I called the post office where it was last scanned(in Smyrna Ga, in the town of its final destination), and the guy there managed to run down the driver who had it in his truck, so they had apparently scratched the label right off the package while in Atlanta. It made it to its destination the next day, and I got the refund. Now I'm trying to figure out which light to replace it with, and maybe it will be another TK41, as I liked it aside from the broken switch!
Back to thread: Speaking of Zombies, is anyone keeping up with the AMC series
The walking Dead"?
"The World is insane. With tiny spots of sanity, here and there... Not the other way around!" - John Cleese.
You mean when they spent like 8 episodes looking for the little girl? I was amazed by that! The previous season was fast paced, they moved from place to place, the plot moved forward regularly........But then...........It came to a screeching halt! Then came the farm season. Every episode involved looking for the girl, while waiting for the kid to heal up and figuring out what to next. Then the next season started after they killed all the zombies in the barn. I actually missed like 3 episodes of the next season, and still havent seen them yet. AT least it kinda picked up again though. I think it sucks that the one guy had to be killed off, dont remember his name, but he was the other cop and buddy of the main character. I forget everyone's names between seasons!
Yeah, Shane is dead.
Just seemed odd as Hell . . . Here's a farm house that is open, defenseless, and magically no one who stays on it gets attacked . . . Until one night when literally an army of zombies is just passing through, minding their own business, not causing any trouble; and then they hear a gunshot! And slowly they turned . . . Headed towards the farm house.
I love how some fans of the show say that it's better than the average zombie movie because it shows what life would realistically be like if there was indeed a zombie outbreak.

For those who like zombie comedies, take a look at Fido and Ahhh! zombies.
Fido is about how people have turned zombies into pets
Ahhh zombies is a zombie movie from the point of view of the zombies not the humans.
Man fears the darkness, and so he scrapes away at the edges of it with fire (flashlights) - Rei Ayanami NGE
Just watched the "Dance of the Dead", and it wasn't actually that bad.
Some parts were corny and really cheesy, but it was better than the Return of the Living Dead, and the Return of the Living Dead II.
Trioxin-2,4,5, lol
There's two streams, the Romero stream, and non-Romero stream.
Night
Return 1
Return 2
Return 3
Return 4 Necropolis
Return 5 Rave to the Grave
Romero
Night
Dawn
Day
Land
Survival
Diary
Supernatural zombies just destroy suspension of disbelief for me. Some sort of disease ala 28 Days is so much more plausible than the reanimated dead that violate the laws of thermodynamics (ala the The Zombie Survival Guide's zombies that can operate without oxygen or even any apparent energy source).
I apologize that this letter is so long; I did not have time to write a short letter
I liked Dawn of the Dead (2004) also. It was one of Zach Synder's early movies. I kept waiting for a sequel but Mr. Synder moved onto other bigger, better projects.
AMC's the Walking Dead is great too.
