hi all!
How would you feel on making such a chart/database?
A list of flashlights that will accept the new longer 18650s, harboring at the 69+mm length.

(I admit I have a self-interest because on another thread I am asking about a particular flashlight)
But I guess others will benefit too.

So....
if your flashlight accepts the likes of XTAR, Intl-Outdoor. keeppower and orbtronic chime in!

Am interested, but haven't those batteries you name. My longest 18650 is from a unbranded Panasonic 18650 3100mAh -length; 69,5mm

I have a KLARUS RS11 on the way, any idea if the 18700's will work with that?

Would the longer length pose any problems for the spring in the lights assuming it fits? Wouldn't it be too compressed over time such that going back to running a normal 18650 would create contact issues? Other than that I am interested.

Compressing and uncompressing a spring is what wears them out. Theoretically, keeping a spring under constant, consistent pressure should have no negative effect.

The Xeno G42 XM-L U2 has no problems accepting the longer and wider cells.

Xtar 18700 works fine in Shiningbeam S-mini.
It's too long for a Tiablo A9. (Well, it sort of works, but you have to screw it down at the tail for contact, and leave it a little loose at the head.)

Maelstrom G5, Armytek Predator and Eagletac D25LC2 all work with the longer cells.

The MG S-mini by Shinning Beam newer version with shorter spring at the head works fine. The older version with a longer spring does not work well with the longer cell.
