I like it!!! Good work!
all lights: view here (4Sevens, Surefire, Malkoff, Ra Lights, etc.)
Does anyone else notice the strange similarity to Nitecore Explorer Series? BTW, is that square window an old school 7-segment LED display, or it's just my deteriorating eyesight?
Cheers

So it's going to give an estimate of the remaining runtime?
Looks pretty cool![]()
I guess 'E' is supposed to be a sideways 'm' for medium mode.
I don't see any mention of blinky modes so maybe it doesn't have any.

That power control and display looks like something someone hacked together in a garage and screwed in with spare screws. Yuck!
Someone has used the ugly stick on that one!
Next you will have to key in your pin number to turn it on!
DDC25will watch that one.

awesome. every flashlight needs a fuel gauge
I dub thee frankenlight. Maybe it makes it easier to service.
this is a weird light. any dufus will know what mode his light is on. jetbeam...what's going onnnnnn???????
Hmmm, inefficient lower modes (poor runtimes), no moonlight, very long light for an 1xAA or 1xCR123. The DDC10 is at least 2 cm longer than I'd expect from a compact CR123 light.
Doesn't seem to be my cup of tea.
This actually looks quite nice in the picture thread above. A logical control panel and side button is actually progress. Twist-head modes, soft pressing, double clicking, no battery state indication etc.--it's all ridiculous and this user interface is a step toward something better. And the LED display is mainly for battery life. As user interface goes, flashlights are still very primitive and non-innovative.
I'll be taking a wide berth from those, and probably the brand itself.
Bet the power/level indicator window sets the trend for all flashlights going forward into the future...
One of these days I will get better at video, in the meantime here is the DDC20

An RRT mated with an EC1 and had an ugly baby. How can a CR123 light be as long as the 18650 EC2 version? Also the reflector looks smaller than the EC series because the bezel ring is so restrictive. So it will throw less than the EC's. So let me get this straight......I get a lower performing light, with a CR123, thats as big as the Nitecore version with an 18650? And of course the big question is how many versions will there be until the bugs are worked out. Jetbeam/Nitecore seems to take on average 3 to 4 before it's working right. I'll Pass.

I like the idea of a digital display telling me how much battery life I have left at each power setting.
However, the display and electronics seem to be taking a lot of space in this new light, making a CR123 light into the size of an 18650 light. This might be an idea that needs more work to perfect.

They are longer...I guess I am not understanding why the comparison of the DDC10 to an EC2 when logically if one takes an extra battery it WILL be a bit larger. In the end, they do measure out longer...but they also have an LCD display which needed to go somewhere. FWIW I have currently in each hand the EC2 and the DDC20 and like the feel of the DDC20... I am also a big fan of the explorer series already.
