I'm gonna try and get one of my student officers (who's national guard and has a 6P) on the nailbender train. I forget if he's got a 6PL or incandescent 6P. Either way, your stuff will be a much better option to install than any of Surefire's P60 modules he would know of currently.

I'm letting him borrow my 6P with the XP-E2 cool white 1.5A I got from you when I see him tomorrow. I've already mentioned "this custom light module guy in North Carolina" to him haha.

    Thanks as usual nb.

    Hi

As always I appreciate the confidence. As for 6P or 6PL they are take modules and all are about the same depth, we can certainly set him up.

    thanks

    edit: SENT!

edit2: for purposes of my P60 spreadsheet, does the XP-E2 now come on sinkpad as well or was that just for G2, L2, etc?

    HI

    Your modules have shipped.

    Thanks again

do you think you're gonna get them back in stock ever or will you be replacing it with an equivalent? I apologize if this question isn't something you want to discuss publicly!

anyways, I got my two modules on Wednesday (I think it was Wednesday?) a day ahead of tracking's estimate:

    #1. XP-E2 neutral 4000k R2 flux 5B4 tint - 1.5 Amps, SMO
    #2. XP-G2 neutral 5000k R5 flux 3D tint - 2.2 Amps, SMO

first off, they're both spectacular single level modules!

#1 is phenomenal. I really love seeing a good thrower that is not cool white (I still love my XP-E2 1D 6500K CW for work when installed in a 6P) and is neutral or warm instead and this fits the bill 100%! I haven't used it too much outside but it works amazingly well. Thank you.

#2 I asked NB to push to the limit and 2.2 amps on an XP-G2 3D 5000K is amazing! I put this one in my M2 (stock bezel) and it's a perfect match. The SMO reflector is great for this amperage/current in my opinion. You seem to be right that the 3D tint XP-G2 is like the Nichia 219 on steroids. I think I'd need an OP module to really tell with regards to how close its tint is to the Nichia 219. Anyways, though, this is a terrific module as well.

Out of the two, I'd have to say the XP-E2 4000K is my absolute favorite (again, of these two).

Thanks as usual nailbender, I appreciate your work and I hope this helps others decide!

    Hi

It simply means the filling of the electronics cavity with thermal epoxy to help pass heat better and to help with shock.

It is free when ordered with my modules so I would not know why you would not want it but they can be ordered with out it but it must be specified or they Will be potted.

potted helps getting heat away and also adds protection to the parts (when "glued in" even hard hits on the insert can not damage them),
"but" it makes removing driver and so on more difficult ...
--> so thats "bad" for nailbender, if he would like to remove the interiors without damaging driver, led or wires ...
--> for us users potting makes much sense - we usually dont remove any part - I would advise to use that option.

(PS: + the thermal adhesive tape to be put around the back of the insert a few times, so the insert gets into the host light with just a bit of force - also helps improving thermal path)

is now an OK time to place another P60 module order? if you're still getting caught up I completely understand and can wait.

I was planning on paying for an XP-G2 (R2 flux, 7B4 tint, 3100K), OP, single level, 2.8-6 volts @ 1.75A.

    Hi

No problem, I will make sure they fit.

On the down side I thought I had plenty of these butttt instead I had 2 packages of this tint in XPE2, won't be a problem as I have ordered some shipped overnight but it will be Friday AM before I can ship them.

Sorry guess I need to wear my glasses more often

    Dave

PS am I right guessing these are textured reflectors.

Thanks for the update, I can wait. Unless you anticipate getting some XP-G2 in R4 tint. The XP-G2 in R2 flux in 3100k are a second choice to the R4 flux with 4000k flavor that are out of stock for the anticipated future. As for the glasses, that is a mistake I could see myself making and I don't wear glasses, yet- getting closer. Spotty memory, glasses in the near future... I don't want to think about it.

Speaking of spotty memory, I forgot to request smooth reflector for each. Both of my friends are interested in maximizing their throw with these lights. I am experiencing late onset of developmental delays. Sorry, that's it for the order until my next order that will be more concise I promise.
