Just wondering if anybody knows of a company that makes aluminum headlight retaining rings. I thought aluminum would be better than the plastic ones because it would be heavier duty and act as a heat sink.

Thanks,

A heat sink? Inside the insulating housing, or outside, several cm from any heat sources? Physics snail is skeptical. Anyway, they exist, but I don't know about their quality.

Since you mention 9004/9007, I think you might be looking for CPF's Automotive sub-forum. This Headlamp sub-forum refers to the type that you wear on your head.
