I built five of these lightheads, cut down a chinese "dive light", gutted the led and electronics, machined a plug with threading for an AGRO Gland, replaced element with a modified 5x Cree R2-1200 White light drop in module. Further modified O-ring sealing system, power with a 7.4 vdc lithium ion pack. Amazing tight beam, looks beautiful.

How did manage to seal glass end?
I mean all chinese light heads what I have bought o-ring is "wrong" side (outside) of glass.

o-ring is "wrong" side (outside) of glass.

Many of the maglite mods posted here keep the o-ring on the outside of the glass.... the location isn't always "wrong"

The O ring is on the inside of the glass, I replaced all the O rings with double seal (square) O rings. I have tested the lighthead down to 300 ft in my pressure pot. Any deeper and the lens shatters. I've thought of replacing the glass with something thicker but then I'd have to re-machine the O ring groove and the light engine. So I am using the original lens.

Thicker is one of your options...
Or you can change the material to something stronger.

any change to get photo from O ring groove ?
I have couple DX light what could modded to diving..
I dont personally trust these maglite o rings outside of the glass
so I have machined all my lights so far with O ring groove under glass.

I didn't modify the o ring groove under the glass, just used what was provided with different o rings. I'm sure I can't photograph it, its just a shelf running the circumference of the head with a groove.
