    Default Accucell lsds

I bought 12 AAA 1000MAH Accucells. I charged them with smart charger, but they would crash in 20 minutes on my 220 ma light, with 3/4 battery configurations. The smart charger wasn't rejecting any cells.

Off to batteries plus to buy a c9000. Thanks Accucell. Already, on refresh/analyze, 2 are measuring less than 130 mah and high internal resistance, 4 were between 650 and 670 mah. The darn 9000, is so slow, it will be days before tests are done. My guess is 3 or 4 of the 12 were dud cells, and the rest are about 650 mah, not the claimed 1000 mah.

I need to buy 8 to 12 AAs more. But draw the line at 2400 mah. 1850mah lsds, is a just pathetic capacity. I am concluding by reading that only Sanyo XX lsd are above the 2400 mah (vapex immediates are 2300 and immedions are 2200 or less.). .... While on the non lsd front, only the sanyo 2700 are not made in China (dishonest), meaning Vapex 2900 are likely only 2500s or less.

This means my choice is really only sanyo 2700s or the sanyo xx cells to meet my specs. (And the sanyo xx barely fits my specs at that.) Ideally, a cell would have 3200 mah or more.

Drawing the line at 2400 is kinda funny, when there's almost just a single battery manufactured to date that exceeds 2400, and that's a non-LSD battery.

Turnigy have 2400mah NI-MH LSD AA cells, they popped recently (previous was 2200mah). also, very cheap. the 2200 was considered very good (but no long term study like eneloops), and capacity was really 2200. will buy next month 20 AA
    UniqueFire AA-S1 and a Aurora SH0032!!!!
Two cheap flashlights make me a "flashaholic"?

.......................................Thanks for the heads up. The capacity promise is a first.. Looks like hobbyking is main place these are sold. Anyone know how long shipping take to get to the USA? And shipping price from them? Back ordered, I bet. .......

Hobbyking has USA warehouse, not sure if they're in stock there though, most likely in first few weeks they'll be getting sold out as soon as they get new batches, because all R/C guys want them. :P

I'll second the recommendation for the Turnigy 2400 LSD cells. I've got a couple that I purchased from HobbyKing with my 206B charger.

Initial capacity as tested on the 206B was just over an average of 1600 mAh and subsequent testing showed that they had a true capacity of just over 2400 mAh.

I've got more of the Turnigy 2400's on the way, so I'm planning to do a review of them at a later stage. Although they've definitely got more capacity than normal Eneloops when they're new, I seriously don't expect them to be anywhere near as robust.

As far as expecting 3200 mAh AA's, I wouldn't be holding my breath if I was you - there hasn't been any significant increase in AA NiMH capacity for years now, so I don't expect it to ever happen... Sure, you might see them advertised with capacity even greater than that on Ebay, but I'm confident that you'll be even more disappointed in them than your Accucells - i.e. they're overrated - often by a huge amount and are usually far worse than properly rated cells.

For HSDs, I run 8 Sanyo 2700s and 8 AccuPower 2900s. On my C9000, they all get pretty close to their claims and work well enough for my needs. Don't know if I'd buy them again, but they work.
