Thread: Can I charge a 14500 in a 18650 charger?

    Question Can I charge a 14500 in a 18650 charger?

    I got this charger:
    http://www.b2bshenzhen.com/item/1865...arger-6777433/
with a laser from Wicked Lasers that came with a 2600mAH Sanyo 18650.

If I use a spacer, can I use it to occasionally charge a 14500? The 14500 I have is black with a silver sticker. It's an "AW" brand and says "IC Protection built-in Li-Ion rechargeable 3.7V 750mAh"

    Thanks!

    That should be fine.

The charger outputs 650mA, and the battery is 750mAh, so the charge rate is less than 1C and would be safe.

Thanks!! I was thinking it would be OK. I have it charging now with a chunk of metal bridging the gap from the charger to the battery. This saves me money from having to go buy a new charger, as I don't often have to charge a 14500.
