So the V5 heads are water resistant from the front and the rear?

V5 components are all installed on the same PCB with the led, inside the head. We then seal them inside with a pressure fit metal plug - no adhesives required (same with v2/3/4/5 drop ins).
It looks like a piece of QUALITY work. I'm hanging onto my V5.

Yep. The v5 is pretty much the epitome of what a multi-setting drop-in light module can be. I'm not sure there are any other features that could be added at this point that would actually be useful, considering it has only a single-button interface to work with. Adjustable color temperature would be nice, but for that you'd need a control ring.

It really is, I've been trying to find a light I like better and I just keep coming back to my Oveready E-series triple.

I have bought ZERO lights since acquiring my V5 E2e with 219's. Flashaholism cured, for now....

OMG! If I tell my wife a cure for Flashaholism has been found, maybe she will buy me one...

Didn't solve it for me, but I've been using my wasp alot more than the V5 E2e.

It's not a guaranteed cure - but certainly worth trying

No, there are none with Nichia primary LEDs and amber secondary LEDs. I specifically asked for that, but it didn't exist. You can buy that combination in a P60 module, though.

    I have an amber V5 Triple drop-in for a P60-compatible ti/cu custom lego, but the E2E isn't as heavy.
