I have made my first custom flashlight, and since I took all the "know-how" from this forum,
I have to thank you for all the useful Information which I have found in your posts.

So....the flashlight is made of ALU 7075 and it has no annodizing on it, it is just polished.

It consists of the following components:

Borofloat glass
LEDIL Iris lens
CREE XM-L U2 on copper PCB mounted on massive copper base
Taskled H6CC driver set to 3,5 amp`s
4Sevens 26650 li ion batteries (2x)
vandal proof switch

So the light have just one - high mode, and on specified batteries it lasts about 70 min,
but the light has to be cooled down...it gets prety hot after about 15 min.

I took some pictures of the light...please enjoy

Looks really nice! 2x 26650s seems like a decent size for a mid-large light.

How long did it take to make?

+1 thats about the same thing I was thinking:oops:.
Thats a very unique and cool flashlight. There's alot of work that goes into making a light from scratch and I think you have done a excellent job. Looks good just the way it is polished. That kind of looks like rubber O-rings for the grip?

thank`s guys.....actually I have been thinking to replace existing driver H6CC with multi-mode driver.
That high output looks very nice, but it would be much more convenient to have at least two more lower levels.
I have done some search around and I can`t find any top-noch (like H6CC) 3 mode XM-L driver that has 3amp at max and
changing modes by power interupt.....do any of you have any suggestions?

b3flex is a very good driver with many functions, but it don`t provide possibility to
change modes with power interrupt....the momentary action button is needed.
thanks anyway

My bad. I noticed that later after going through the thread again.

Der Wichtel might have what you need.

This is impregnated leather cord, and it feels very good in hand...it gives you some kind of warm feeling....

Thanks for the info! Would you have a source for that leather?? The contrast between the aluminium and black cord really sets the design off. Nice finish on the Aluminum too!!! Thats just a really nice light!!! Great work!

thank`s for nice words...you can get leather cord in many places in online stores (http://www.psdaimaandsons.com/cotton-and-nylon-cords.html), and probably also in the local shop with decorations...
