A couple of questions on the Pila168 version ....

Will it run properly on a modern 17670 cell?

Is that an internal "sleeve" visible through the "struts", or is that just what the wrapper looks like for those old Pila168 batteries?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it will run on a 17670 cell, it's made to run with a 18650 cell? The Pila comes with a 18650 GID battery, that looks really cool in the dark (as seen in the pic above). The GID battery has no sleeve, but I'm sure it would be easy enough to make one for any of the GatLights.

I think maybe my questions were confusingly worded ...

* Do you know if the Pila168S/Pila168A is completely compatible with the 17670/18650 equivalent battery for powering this light?

* If the battery is removed from the light, can you see straight through the bars, or is there something inside that surrounds the battery?

Hope that is clearer :)

Not sure, I'll have to check to GatLight sight later today.

Yes, you can see staight though the bars with the battery removed.

Thanks for info!

I might have interest in the steel Pila168, if you would consider selling separately.

PM to discuss details would be welcome....

Hey Todd,

you may want to change the title of the thread. It still says WITHDRAWN, so that may be confusing to some...

I reported this thread a couple of days ago requesting a title change, but it looks like it can't be done? Thanks for all the PMs, but I'm withdrawing this for good.

Thanks
Todd
