Thread: ETA Requests - Oveready / TorchLAB

Our machinist was hit with a last minute priority military job [redacted], so our December window is now in January. We should now have ZR by early February.

    Yes sir,

We have parts in stock and will be building them soon.
Look for them in the next month or so.

Our machinist got clobbered, but parts are flowing. Triads require the most in demand machine, so we don't have a new ETA. But perhaps not before April.

Parts with coatings (including HA) take 2-3x longer to produce. The brass version is a production and demand experiment. Its easy to make more and brass is proving desirable enough not to make more black HA versions and brass mass may prove better for heat 'storage'.

If we do more in black, it would not be until we were doing a full Moddoolar body run (not scheduled) and had seen additional requests.

It proved impractical to stock so many engine models in two colors. We are working to reduce models and may be able to reintroduce natural after that.

I noticed the TorchLAB McClicky kits are getting low on stock, are y'all planning on revamping them or something? I figured they'd be THE item yalld keep in high quantities lol

edit: that being said I did order a kit last night with a bored 6P body

McClicky brass rings are our highest priority production item. As supplies get low, kits fall to zero, with some left for tailcaps and lights. Another batch is already in production and should be here next week.

I like the Gray HA Natural finish too.
It does bring some challenges to the table.
I hope that we can bring gray heads back sometime soon.

Any plans for any more 130mm bodies? I have a crazy MTG2 drop in coming that I'd like to run with 2x 18650s. I can do an extension but would like one of your diamondback tubes!

WIll Triad tails work on the new Moddoolar slims?

  22. #82

Default Oveready / TorchLAB - ETA Requests

Yes, all tailcaps work with all bodies. This includes cross compatibility with SF C/P/Z bodies and tailcaps as well.

    Be gentle. I'm a virgin...

Okay, so I could conceivably get a slim and add the triad when they're released to have a complete Moddoo pocket?

  24. #84

Default Re: Oveready / TorchLAB - ETA Requests

Yes. Broadly speaking, a Pocket is any configuration with a Moddoolar head, a DB or Triad tailcap, and a body between 20 and 65mm, including the Slims. The key considerations are that 1) the body and switch you choose work with the battery you want to run (like a TL50+ZRS=18650) and 2) any clip on the triad 'mesh' with the body. For example, belt clips are to long for the TL35 and pocket clips are to long for the TL20/shorty.

With few exceptions, you can use any part with any other part to make the system/setup you wish. Ordered together (parts to make a complete light), we also assemble and test them before shipping.

Thank you, sir. Should I continue to post here regarding questions, or do you monitor the USN as much?
