Hi all,
I am planning to buy the Fenix BT20 with XM-L T6 (when available)
http://www.fenixlight.com/viewnproduct.asp?id=128
I don't have any 18650 batteries so I need two of them plus a charger.
Fenix offers a package
http://www.fenix-store.com/product_info.php?cPath=468&products_id=2954
it's the BT20 bike light together with
2 Fenix 18650 Rechargeable Batteries (2600mAh)
1 Tenergy 18650 Smart Battery Charger
They charge the batteries and the charger $33
Are the batteries and charger good? Do they worth the $33?
Or it is better to buy something else like
XTAR WP2 II USB Intelligent Charger +2x 18650 3100mAh 3,7 V
http://viewitem.eim.ebay.gr/XTAR-WP...mAh-37-V-geschtzter-AkkuKit/290689778558/item
for $35?
Is the BT20 worth it?
There are light with XML U2 at 1/3 of the price of BT20 claiming double+ lumens
http://viewitem.eim.ebay.gr/2-In-1-...eable-HeadLight-Headlamp-A3/251170238922/item

Thank you in advance

Fenix are claiming a few other virtues than just lumens - neutral colour tint, good colour rendering, better beam shaping. These are worthwhile investments (though that beam does seem very bright at close range in the beam shots). An ebay XML-U2 light a) won't be quoting "real" lumens (I would trust Fenix more) and b) will have poor tint and colour rendering.

I can't speak for the batteries and charger, but again I would be more than comfortable buying theirs instead of trying to save a few cents and potentially end up with issues that are hard to resolve with multiple vendors involved. The package you link to has two sets of batteries (18650s and CR123s)

On ebay they promise many things. It is impossible to have single XM-L light with 1800 lumens, high quality lights can achieve 700-900 ANSI lumens with one XM-L.

I had a chance to measure one of the ebay bike lights claiming 1600 lumens and the true output was 530 lumens at startup and it settled to 470 after some time.
