Good stuff, awaiting beam shots!

I'm amazed that their own website doesn't show a shot like this (at least not that I recall) to display their optical design. It would be too easy to mistake for just another symmetric beam unit.

The photo from my garden is slightly over exposed. But demonstrates the beam well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I am still looking for my first light (street riding in town) and your review was great.

Thanks :) glad I was of help.

I think the all in one nite rider could be a nice one for you to consider and USB rechargeable.

What's your budget?

It looks to me like the cells are in series? With protected cells, the light could go from on / bright to dead (trip the protection circuit). Unprotected cells risk over discharging / reverse charging. What safety measures are built into the light / pack. I understand there is a green to red LED that is supposed to indicate low power, but currently it doesn't work if you are in Turbo? Is there any noticeable dimming as you run down the batteries? I was having a hard time deciding if I would like to try the BT20 or BT10. I think this just makes me want to go for the BT10.

Have you gotten it wet yet? Ride in the rain? Anything bad happen - leaking, fogging lens, etc?

What would I be looking at if I wanted to crack the head open and swap the emitter? Does it look like it comes apart with a few screws, or is it glued pretty tight?

I'm one of those that was sent a refund. No explanation was included, only the delay fenix store mentioned in that thread.

Well I've been playing with my light today. And using some camera to gopro converters I've been able to mount the light lower on the helmet. As well as gain the ability to quickly unclip the light to switch helmets.

And I've added a clear lens.

Please tell me Spankone,
how to replace the lenses become clear lens?
Did it just by removing the two screws located at the rear of the unit BT20? or any other method?..

For your kind attention..thank you :)

Hi,

It's very simple. I had a spare clear lens from an old solarforce L2. Unscrew the 2 screws on the back of the bt20 and the screw for the mount. And the front slides of. Switch out the lens and reverse the process. Obviously this will invalidate your warranty.

Whoa! Glad to hear that solarforce l2 lens sized same as bt20 lens. I believe that I have some UCL that size.
And the process seems to easy isn't it? :D. Its OK about the warranty void, at least I have friend that void his warranty on lens swap too.. You..haha

Thanks for advice bro.

Can you elaborate on your mounting system? I'm using this light on the handlebars as intended with the rubber rings, but it doesn't do the best job of keeping it in position with the light at a steady elevation when riding due to bumps and vibration. I'm trying to find a way to use a more secure bike mount, that I could then clip this light onto in some fashion that would hold it more steadily.

I have try to swap the original one with ucl..
I like the clarity of the ucl lens when on my lights, but the "double beam" its gone, since the double beam on bt20 is the main feature so hard to say..I keep the original one pair with my light...but the swap idea is great!
