Long-range LED searchlight with focusable beam

The Dereelight XSearcher is one of the most powerful and lightweight handheld searchlights in the world. It uses small, high power lithium batteries to help you search further for longer. It's ideal for Police, Search & Rescue, hunting (as a spotting lamp) and any situation where you want to illuminate up to 1,000m... and beyond!

This long-range performance is achieved by using quality LEDs, Dereelight's own LED driver and a specially designed aspherical lens. Choose between a Cree XR-E or an XM-L LED - each with a voltage range of 3.4v - 12v. The XR-E LED will throw the farthest (up to 1,000m+) and tightest beam, whereas the XM-L will provide a wider beam, but still with a tremendously long range.

The XSearcher comes with an extension tube to allow an additional 18650 battery or another two CR123A batteries to be used. Using the extension tube will allow you to gain maximum power and runtime.

With a fully adjustable beam (from spotlight to floodlight) and multiple modes, you can customise the light output for every situation. With the XSearcher you can now see what you've been missing!

Main Features

Convex Lens: Specifically designed to boost the light power and throw a beam very far.
Focus: The convex lens can be focused to provide the best lighting for your situation.
Changeable LEDs: If you prefer to use coloured light, you can easily fit a red, green or amber LED into your XSearcher for long distance coloured illumination. The coloured LEDs do not reduce the light output like torch filters do.
Two stage lighting: You can have it outputting just 1 mode or 3 modes (High-Med-Low), just by twisting the body
Memory: If using the 3-mode function (High-Med-Low), the light will remember the last mode used
Lightweight, high power: This makes it ideal for all outdoor search tasks.

Specification

LED: High power Cree LED with both 1 and 3 mode settings.
Battery: 2x CR123A/ RCR123, 2x 18650 or 4x CR123A
Function: There are 2 levels of lighting - 1-Mode and a 3-Mode. You can switch from 1-Mode to 3-Mode by loosening the body of the light against the neck section. In 1-Mode, high output is activated when the tail switch is pressed. In 3-Mode, you can half press the tail switch to change mode (High-Med-Low). Automatic memory remembers the last function. This gives instant access to your preferred mode.
Switch: Protruding foward clicky tail switch with momentary-on function. The switch has a glow-in-the-dark (GITD) cover for easy identification at night.
Protection: Sealed with O-rings for excellent water resistance and improved service life. Waterproof and Dust Resistant to IPX-8.
Tactical: A removable grip ring offers better grip and an option to attach a lanyard or body sling. Remote pressure switch is available if you wanted to gun mount the XSearcher.
Dimension: 176mm (L), 70mm (Head), 25mm (Body Dia)
Weight: 335g (without battery)
Finish: Rugged body with HA Type III anodising.
Lens: Specially designed convex lens for maximum beam throw and adjustability - the beam can be focused to your shooting requirements.

Operation

- Turn Power On/ Off
Pressing the tail cap switch will Turn Power On/ Off.

- Switch Mode
1-Mode is full power during momentary-on and full-on. 3-Mode is High-Med-Low. Simple UI - half press tail switch to preview each mode and full click to select a mode.

- Focus Beam
The XSearcher beam can be focused from spot to flood. To adjust the beam, simply twist the head of the light to gain your required level of illumination.

- Memory Function
When torch is on in a preferred mode, click off with tail switch. The torch will remember the last mode when next switched on.

- Lock-out
Loosen the tail cap for full lock-out to prevent accidental activation.

Awesome! I have been looking forward to info on this light.

I am very curious about lux measurements, XM-L vs. XR-E.

And does it come in 1x18650 form factor? Sorry if this was clarified somewhere but I just haven't read clear info on the battery setups or lux numbers for this light.

Hmmm. That XM-L pill holder doesn't look like mine.
Mine's brass like these photos from Tatjanamagic's review: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...Searcher-amp-NIghtmaster-V2-My-observations-)

same here. i have the same as you. jay from flashlightconnection is sending the concave pill holder my way. why would there be two holder versions? contact him, im sure if you needed one he would send one your way. thanks jay.

I have a concave version also (from Jay). Too bad the brass XM-L doesn't use a P60-type pill - it's a dedicated unit for ASP heads only.

I wish that I could buy this sort of light with 26650 battery. The head is so large, the extra bulk of the big battery would not bother me.

I'm still looking for a good 1x26650 flashlight.

Awesome! I have been looking forward to info on this light.

I am very curious about lux measurements, XM-L vs. XR-E.

I measured 102Kcd for the XML version. I stuck the head from the Xsearcher on the NM with an EZ900 XRE and got a reading of 182Kcd. More than likely will be offering modified versions soon. Trying to decide what the optimal setup would be for these.

I hear you. I have an XR-E R2 EZ900 2.1A in my Xsearcher and it throws a ton!

Saabluster when do you think these modded xsearchers will be coming?? I will hold off and buy one from you if it's not too far away. I'm happy to buy a prototype!

I would like that Saabluster make super modified P60 style drop ins(it will fit all P60 style lights not just deerelight)...
But I am not important here :) It matters what Saabluster think ;)

About pills from deerelight... Look at pictures I will explain:

Soft aluminuim pill holder with classic deerelight pill & new style brass pill

U can use any P60 pill in a world in deerelight flashlights!(xsearcher, nightmaster, cl1h4) Including cheapest ones that cost 12$ on ebay... How? Simple...
KGrHqEOKiUE2054RlGBN2QfPsgGQ_35_zpsa28d7ba9.jpg

Just take of reflector and spring off P60 style drop in and screw driver into deerelight pill holder and put in Xsearcher or Nightmaster!(pill holder is left on picture) and light is here:candle:

So once again all P60 pills(from q5 to sst50) fits to Xsearcher and Nightmaster but U need to have pill holder(U can order from your deerelight dealer)

Although new style brass pill from deerelight probably has better heat conductivity I still like prefer old style better...

Do you see those ring around emitter in new pill? That ring gives circle around hotspot so if U don't like it you can take it off or color that in black... But that ring holds emitter very well in its place pressing it to brass and thermal paste so it is pretty useful...

Old Vs New one?
I am not sure... I probably like old version the most because of free pill holder but new should be better performer...

Awesome. I love my dbs aspheric. A one stop throw shop version of the new xsearcher with xre would be epic.
