3 trit buttons
The first buttons to be milled will be the ones without trit orders as I am waiting for trits. I will post each members order as it completes on this thread. Completed buttons that are paid and shipped will be marked Green. Buttons that are ready and awaiting shipment will be marked Blue (payment marked in purple).
I would recommend that you polish the surface of the button with some metal polish. It is probably best you decide on how shiny you want it. I will polish the surface of the button if I am installing trits unless I am told otherwise. Notice the 1st picture with parallel slots mounted on the light - it had less than 10 seconds on a fine water sand paper (800 grit)
OK you all know that I made Titanium buttons / extended Buttons for Steve Kuku's e-switch.
Having gone mad with tritium slot milling on the torches and buttons I made some Titanium tritium button inserts for the legendary Coolfall's Spy 007 and Tri-V flashlight sometime ago for my own use. I made a handful for my lights 6 months ago and left in on the back burner.
Following several requests I have made some more titanium button inserts and will be in a position to sell them to my fellow CPF friends.
I only want to recoup the cost of the material and the time to mill the slots. Cost will be $25 plus postage for the buttom insert which include the cost of the milling upto 3 slots.
The button has a total thickness of 3.2mm - 0.7mm fills the recess on the Spy switch and the rest is proud as per pictures below. Plenty of material to mill 1.7mm trits slots upto 6mm long on the surface. The diameter of the button is 10.5mm. It is Titanium and matches the rest of the light.
I can mill the usual 3 slots either as a triangle, 3 parallel (6mm or 5mm length slots) or other design if you can think of another design that will fit in the area. The predator offset pattern will only be possible in 5mm slots due to space restriction.
Postage will be $5 airmail or $12 tracked. Considering the cost of the button I would stick to regular airmail. I will try and do the milling as soon as possible but please bear with me as I can only do it in my free time.
The button is push fit - it fits tight in the recess and there is a gap so you can prise it out. You don't need to glue it in as it is a snug fit.
You will see the button in the box - there are 'nipples' which are used to hold the button while I mill the slots. I will mill the nipples out as flush as possible.

UPDATE 30.1.13 - ALL 6 trit Buttons are nearly ready to have trits installed - if you want trits please order them now or tell me you don't want trits so I can ship the button to you following PayPal payment. If you want anodising let me know too so I can coordinate this with ukmidnite.
Please order trits from Steve Ku directly 1.5mm x6mm and ask him to send it to me. Please specify your exact sequence of colours by posting on the thread. I will make these buttons one by one on the mill and as before get them out to you. I suspect the delay will be receiving trits from Steve Ku as the buttons are now ready
Update 04.02.13 - I have completed the buttons for which I have had trits.
Samuraishot + zander buttons are with ukmidnite for anodising.
I will be away at the end of the week for 10 days - so wont be able to do any work on the buttons. There will be the rest of the family to accept trit packages that might come in - hopefully on my return all trits would have landed and the anodised buttons would be back.
update 16.2.13 - back again
all trit packages that were expected have arrived from Steve and Bart - I will now crack on.
