Not really sure,but I thought I read somewhere that anything over 5mW(Class IIIb 5.0mWplus) is illegal in Canada,so can someone verify this? I am talking a laser pointer type,battery operated. Thanks,Hot Brass

Can't be true. DVD burners have more power than this. Are you asking about laser pointers (Freely moveable device with a push-button activation)?
