Default Modifications to convert Malkoff MD2/3/4 to "MD1" and/or MD Extensions

    As shown here http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...y-MartinDWhite

Send me a Malkoff body (MD2, MD3, or MD4) I will modify it to be a single cell body "MD1" and sent it back to you. If you send and MD3 or MD4 I can also convert the cut off portion to an extension tube to allow extending a Malkoff body to hold more batteries. An MD3 can be converted into an MD1 and a single cell extension or a single AA sized extension. An MD4 can be converted to an MD1 and a single, double, or AA size extension.

The price for the MD1 conversion is $40 per body plus $5 shipping per order (the shipping charge can be combined with other things I sell also).
The price for the extension tube conversion from the cut off portion is an additional $40 per body.

    PayPal to martin@martinwhite.name
PM for address to send MO, check, or MD2/3/4 body.

Picture show "MD1" with MD2, MD3, and MD4 bodies. Bodies in pictures are not for sale.

Completed "MD1" with M61W drop in running on single 18350. Shown with older MD2 for size comparison.

A few of the MD extension tubes. A single, double, and AA sized extension are all pictured.

I think this is an excellent idea. I have wished sometimes that Gene would have made MD1's himself, but that never happened.

I definitely want at least one of these mods as soon as funds allow...

Thanks for the heads up, greatscoot... A soon as mine gets here, it's off to Martindwhite for shortening, if he's so inclined.

Shipping to NY must be faster than to Chicago. Was hoping to get mine today, but alas, it did not arrive. I am hopeful for tomorrrow.

My MD1 arrived today, along with my other Malkoff goodies so I was able to put together a working MD1 w/M60NF. The machining is absolutely fist rate. Pictured with its larger sibling.
The MD2 to AA sleeve is really cool too.
    Thanks.

I bought a bunch of bodies from Malkoff and got a good price. There are 15 MD1s for sale at $55 shipped in CONUS (additional ones are $50). Overseas shipping will be a little more PM for price.

That clip on Norms MDC- if that was on the the MD1 and I could convince someone to make the Malkoff head in copper I would have the perfect EDC, hands down. Martin, what do you think is that something you could do? Put that clip on the tail? I have an L2P tail that I was going to send to precisionworks to get hooked up with a Ti clip but that MD Tailcap paired with your MD1 would just be the thing I'm looking for if it could get clipped...

http://usaknifemaker.com/catalogsear...?q=pocket+clip seems to sell quick a few pocket clips. I could mount one of those to a tail cap pretty easily.

They sell "low rider" clips like the one on the MDC and regular clips. Pocket clips are something I have been looking at for a while and I just ordered several styles from usaknifemaker to try out. I will post pics when they get here and get installed.
