Kind of neat. Cheaper than a "tactical pen" and probably more useful but leaves a bit to be desired. Notice mine came tarnished with what I can only guess are "factory" fingerprints.
Novelty I guess. The performance is quite something though. My last experience with a whistle were those Fox 40 ones.
