I am looking for a 1x18650 headlamp, and i find the Lumintop HL01 headlamp interesting. I have not find any reviews here at CPF(or somewhere else either),and i have some questions about it. I have not received any reply from Lumintop,so i ask here instead hoping that someone who owns it can answer.

This is from their website regarding the UI:

Operation

A. When the Light is OFF
• Click the Mode switch for momentary activation of Tactical mode.
• Press and hold the Power switch to activate the Moonlight mode. Another press will turn the light off.
• Click the Power switch to activate the previous memorized mode. Another click will turn the light off.

I wonder if the moonlight mode counts as the previous memorized mode? Let´s say that i have the highest mode(480 lumens) memorized, and then turn of the lamp, and start it at moonlight mode(0,5 lumens) and then turns it of again. When start it again will it have the highest mode or the moonlight mode memorized? Can anyone give some more overall impressions about this light?

Thank´s in advance!

It would be an interesting light if the runtimes weren't obvious falsifications.

At last some replies!:)

I think that this light is so new that very few people has one yet,and there fore it´s hard to get any feedback of it. I have tried to email Lumintop directly, but i have not reveived any reply with my questions.

I think that the runtimes looks like they are accurate, with exception of the claim that it can deliver 480 lumens at highest mode for 2,2 hours. Even though it is not written anywhere,i belive this light has a stepdown to about 60% effect after a few minutes when running it at highest mode, and when it has steped down i belive it can be run for 2,2 hours.

I have the h600w and ST6-460nw and the ST6 has a top strap. Thats my go to light and never gave me any boucing problems. the zebralight isn't that bad either. Unless your running track or jmping around alot they should be fine. I use mine fornight fishing on the shoreling and I am constantly jumping rock to rock with no problems with it bouncing. But then some peope have the bouncing problem and I know my brother has it to but his headband is very loose. maybe thats the problem?

Well, that explains that. Perhaps not a baldfaced lie from Lumintop, but certainly misleading.

I still have not heard anything from Lumintop, but now i have received more info about the Lumintop HL01 from another seller.:)

Regarding the UI, i wondered if the light keeps the moonlight mode in memory when using it, and the answer to that is NO. If one starts the light on moonlight mode and then turns the light off, and then starts it again, it will start at one of the last used standard modes i.e low, medium or high.

I think that is good news, since i prefer flashlights with direct acces to both lowest mode(moonlight mode) from off, and direct access to highest mode(if that was the memorized mode ) from off.

Regarding the retailprice, i also got the info that the Lumintop has a retailprice of 79US$.

However,i still have not seen any review of it neither here on Candlepowerforums or else where either. It would be great if an owner of this light could contribute with a review of it! :)

First sentence is contrary to the second sentence
1. No moonlight memory = :(
2. No moonlight memory =, but U like headlamps with the direct access to the lowest mode

English is not my native language and sometimes when writing in English the sentence structure can be a little odd.

I meant that the moonlight mode is separated from the other three modes(low, mid, and high) since it is not stored in the flashlights memory after being used. In order to save the nightvision it like the feature that one can start the light on moonlight mode instantly without have to cycle through other modes first. Now i think you understand what i mean!

It would certainly be dubious if they didn't make clear the non-constant nature. I guess we'll have to see how clear it is in the manual.
It can be tricky going into details where data is in a compact form like an output table if there isn't a standard format that most people would recognise, like '450-300lm' or '450lm (300lm)'.

Personally, I think there's a lot to be said for non-constant modes for the highest power settings on headlamps, to run for a while at a boosted output before gently declining to the standard power - they can give max output for the (often brief) situations where people actually need/want it without having a meaningful effect on runtime compared to always having the standard level, but 'boost' modes like that are certainly something which should be explicitly explained.

Yep, I have been a googling the Crelant CH10 for reviews. None to find, really. I am guessing the lumintop was first look for you, NorthStar. But, perhaps, you settled on Crelant CH10 in the end?

I am kinda looking for a small edc 18650 headlamp (with a better price than spark) that I could keep close when not expecting night to come or darkness within the interior of dwellings-1x18650. Something throwy enough for a worklight in a pinch, a worklight around the house, but versatile enough for reading at night. Enough flood for my stationary jogging and hill machines. Smaller, lighter, durable, and specs (& price range) of the Crelant. The infinite brightness is appealing. Though I do think the CH10 should come with a slide down/up diffuser (Like the rayovac 4aa) for reading. I like that the Ch10 may have some throw (essential for tasks and halfway decent runtime), but very wide corona (15 deg center and 100ish halo matches the human eye fairly well).

First i was interested in the HL01, but since i´ve never found any review of it and i never received any reply from Lumintop of my questions, then i went for the Crelant CH10 instead.I think that the CH10 is a great allround light with a good combination of both flood and throw and it has a good price tag.A slide down/up diffuser would be a great additional accessory to this light. I hope that they would offer such,or if one could find such from another brand that would fit the CH10.
