Hello
New EDC light from Sunwayman-S10R.
It uses single CR123A/16340/RCR123A battery.
LED-Cree XM-L2.Big OP reflector.
You can see more in the review below.

Good matte black anodizing.Excellent design.

● Ultra-clear tempered glass lens resists scratches and impacts

● Accessories: lanyard, O-ring, rubber cap, reversible SS clip

Nice thick square cut threads.Thick anti revers polarity protection rubber pad.

S10R uses single CR123A or RCR123A/16340 battery.
Too long protected 16340 batteries could be a problem for switching mode group.

There is enough aluminum to deal with the heat.
My sample arrived with no sign of grease on the O-ring.Very hard to unscrew the head.
My first step was to grease it well. The threads are also not as clean as expected.

Side grooves provide excellent grip.
S10R can tail-stand.

Size comparison to other good lights and different battery types.

Practical pocket clip. Good options for attaching.

Can be used as a headlamp.

Reversible clip, made of premium grade 304 stainless steel, sandblasted and matte.
Innovative design pocket clip. The flashlight can be attached head-up or head-down.
Looks very sturdy. Its edges are not smoothed very well. It's not too stiff and is convenient to use.

Good knurling. It's too aggressive in my opinion, but that is made for excellent grip.

Nice tough switch cover with the brad logo.

Well anodized body, but there are some spots between the cooling fins,on my sample.
On the rest of the flashlight anodizing is excellent.Looks very sturdy.
Military Specification Type III- hard anodized body

Thick stainless steel bezel protects the head, reflector and glass from impact.

Deep,wide orange peel aluminum reflector-Diameter ~19,5mm.
Well centered LED.

Anti-reflective coated,tempered ultra clear glass.

The light from the XM-L2 LED used here is nice cool white,no greenish or yellowish tint. The beam is floody-big hotspot with very useful spill.Excellent light for every day use-walking,outdoor sport, close range work, reading etc.

User Interface
There are 7 output modes in two groups.
First group- Head tightened- Low,Medium,High (no memory)
There are also hidden SOS and Slow flash modes. They can be activated after second cycle of the Low,Medium,High.
Low-Medium-High-Low-Medium-High-SOS-Slow flash

Second group- Head loosened-Strobe,Turbo (no memory)

Choosing the mode happens by half pressing the switch.Full press(click)to lock the mode.

While on Low,Medium,High,SOS or Slow flash-Loosening the head activates Turbo.Tightening back activates Low brightness mode.

My sample requires head to be maximum (impossible with one hand) tightened to activate the regular modes group.

Excellent grip for 88mm long flashlight.

Because of the thick water sealing O-ring,tightening and loosening the head is not easy.

Waterproof, in accordance with IPX-8 standard.

Conclusion
Beautiful, very handy flashlight, very useful light for different needs.Nice lightweight body.Good quality for the price.
I would like to see a less bright low mode-about 2 lumens.

Sunwayman S10R is a good choice for an EDC light.

Thank you for the review.
I've been looking at the single AA version over the last week and may order one of the two soon.

A very interesting review, thanks for sharing!

This S10R looks like a nice small light and I have one in the mail.

Interesting review - thanks. I have one on the way, thanks to the generosity of Sunwayman. The only thing I'm not drawn to is the clip. I don't generally use these, preferring holsters, and it looks a little cumbersome.

This is one of the best user interfaces I have seen. Those who like turbo or strobe first are accommodated, with no chance of accidently getting into low mode first. Those who like low first are equally accommodated. If you have the light on strobe first and need to see something without waking up the wife, that is no problem.

Great review!! I really enjoyed the gifs!

I liked the pictures of the light in your hand. This kind of picture should be a rule! It always give us a good size perspective.

Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: which light is the dark brown one, besides the pink battery?

The strobe has a pleasant colored disco ball effect for me. I love the beam this thing puts out. Walked under some bridges with it tonight, and was surprised in a good way.

Just with the head had more play between the UI modes.

Can you unscrew the stainless steel bezel? I want to know if there is easy access to the LED for modding.

I use mine everyday and I like the beam.Very useful light. The flashlight is lightweight and easy to carry.

I also want to see it inside.I am interested to see the cooling design.
Will try to find a rubber pad today and will open it.

Unscrewing the bezel is easy.
Diameter of the reflector 2cm.
Depth of the reflector 1,5cm.
The LED board is ~18mm.
Under the LED is used thermal paste, not glue.

Wow FlashLion. Those pictures are above and beyond what I asked for. Thank you!

Is that black ring around the LED just a piece of plastic or metal sitting atop the MCPCB? I assume it's easy to remove.

It is just piece of plastic that helps for centering the LED. It's even not glued.

Any way to permanently close the switch on the head to completely disable the loosened head mode?

If it's hard to tighten the head you can solder some tin to the board which you can see around the rubber ring.
Or if you don't have a soldering iron, you can make a ring of steel or other wire and place it around the rubber ring.

I've relegated my S10R light to the car with a lithium primary, as I can only get the high/strobe mode with a 16340. Bit disappointing, but then it was free.
