Setting up my 6P

I had the opportunity to pickup a bored 6p by Barry, received and love it.

Now I would like to get the HML 1600 Lumen drop in from OR.

Can this drop in work with one 18650 or do I need to purchase the a19 and run 2 18500s?

Thanks!!!

Looks like it drops out of regulation at 4.8v, so I would run 2x18500

Thanks for the input, and Barry has confirmed for this setup I should get a Malkoff.

I'm going to have him bore either a C3 / 9P for the 2 18500s.

It is possible to run the TorchLAB on a single 18650, but the output is reduced by roughly 30%. I do this occasionally, and it's still plenty bright.

When I want max output from it in my C2 with the expense of run time, I use two IMR 18350s. By default, it lives in an OR 9P with Cryos bezel, fed by dual 18500s.

The most output available from a Malkoff that'll run on a single 18650 is 300 lumens. To get past this, I went to Nailbener for a n XM-L2 driven at ~2 amps.

The latest (V4) Oveready triple dropins know if you are running on 1 or 2 cells. Output will be higher on 2 cells by about 30%. However, you still get low voltage warning on both 1 and 2 cells. I've run the LMH XP-G2 N dropin on both 1 and 2 cells. (2X18350 in 6P, bright but relatively short runtime on H.) I don't think the OR dropin will fit in a Malkoff without some modification.

Another person here who uses these engines with 1 cell. I've had 2 V3's and 3 V4's, and they've all been fine. My favourite V4 H3C LMH XPE2 sits in a bored Z2 with an 18650 most of the time, and my other favourite L3N LMH XPE V4 sites either in a bored C2 with an 18650, or this little fellow with an 18350:
