Wow! Lithium 123\'s at Wal-Mart!

I work in Materials Management at a hospital. I had to run out to our local Wal-mart in a hurry and buy some lithium 123's for our O.R. today. (long, boring story as to why we didn't have them in stock here). Anyhow, freakin' $9.84 for a TWO pack! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif If I had to pay that price, I'd never own a 123 powered light.

Gadgetnut, I noticed two Duracells for $14.00 at Walgreens last night. $7.99 for a single Duracell 123. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

That's nuts. Kind of makes those bargain lights that come with two 123's seem like an even better value!

I clicked on hoping to see wallyworld was selling 123 Li for an acceptable amount. I can beat that price my local Kroger sells one (1) 123 for $6.95.Put those in a SF M6 and you just spent 42 bucks.

Yeah, buying 123s offline is ridiculously expensive. I sometimes wonder why.

Guess I am lucky. One of the local gun stores sells Surefire 123s for 1.25 each.

We have a local True Value franchise that wins the award (Until somebody else posts) or makes it on the top 10 at least. $10.99 for 1 123.

the usual price for lithium 123s here in local currency is $7-8, so that works out to about US$4-5. not too bad, but still too expensive. i'm about to place a bulk order of DP lithiums from batterystation /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I wonder how long it'll be before Walmart and everybody start charging about the same price as the online stores. Not long, I guess; a few months at most....

They may come down on the prices somewhat but I doubt that we will ever see them come down to
$1.00-batterystation or $1.25-Surefire.

Does anyone have an idea as to where I can get some
Lithium AA's and AAA's at a reasonable price?
I'm willing to buy some quantity, if thats what it takes.

My local Wal-Mart has the Energizer lithium AAs in an 8-pack for $16.99. Lithium AAAs are not available anywhere as far as I know.

Wow. 8-pack for 16.99 is pretty reasonable. They are $ 2 apiece at most e-tailers after all.

If you're in an area that has Publix supermarkets, you will want to look there too. Right after I got the 8-pack at Wallyworld I saw the Energizers in a 4-pack at the service desk at Publix for $7.99. This struck me as very strange since Publix usually gets a premium for sundry items like this.

My local Wal-Mart has single 123 and 223 side by side. I noticed that the 223 is a dollar cheaper /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
