I have an application for which I need 24V. Since sealed lead acid batteries only come in 6V and 12V, can I run 2x12V cells in series to get 24V?

Thanks,
Wilkey

Yep,

Thanks Kevin. BTW, look for an order tomorrow. At this point I'm just not sure what.

One more thing, the Sanyo site does not have data sheets for the HR-4/3AUX. Do you have any discharge curves for these batteries? I can find the HR-4/3FAUP and the HR-4/3FAU and those have fantastic high rate discharge characteristics.

You can also use two 12V battery tender-type chargers connected to each battery, assuming the output of the charger is not ground-referenced. Of course, if it uses a plastic case and has a non-grounded plug, you can be assured it's output is floaing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
