Is HIR2/9012 OK to use in a 2008 Civic?

Reflector headlights, full face shield, and I think the lights are Stanley.

Also, I see Wagner and Sylvania sell 9011/9012 bulbs now. Wagner has sold theirs for quite some time. Is it a reboxed Philips, or something else? Stock photos of the Sylvania version show spherical glass like the old Toshibas (look on Amazon), and the Sylvania is hideously expensive compared to Philips and Wagner.

First: Yes, HIR1 high beam and HIR2 low beam is a safe upgrade in that Civic, as long as the lamps are in excellent condition and aimed correctly.

Secondly: Fifty smackers for a "who knows who really made this" bulb from Sylvania? I think not. Buy the Philips bulb. Last time I checked, the Wagners were reboxed Philips.
