Hi, total newbie here after a bit of advice please.

I've just purchased a Foursevens Maelstrom MMU-X3 with their RC 26650 rated at 3900 mAh and smart charger.

My questions are these,

Can I buy a higher rated capacity RC battery such as a 5000mAh, charge it with the FS smart charger (same voltage 4.2v) and am I right in thinking a higher capacity batt would give me longer run times?

The higher capacity but same voltage batt should not cause the torch any operating issues?

Thanks in advance

You're correct on all counts. BUT. . . be aware that battery capacity claims are frequently inflated, sometimes grossly. It shouldn't be any surprise if a "5000 mAh" cell -- particularly an off-brand one -- actually gives you less run time and a shorter lifetime than the original cell.
