Im attempting to build a Work Light. I have Cooling, and housing figured out. But I need some assistance in figuring out my best way to run the LED from the driver I have.

I have a 120V AC Dimmable LED Driver model CDLPS388R12 with a Output of 18-23.8V DC @ 400 mA current.

What would my best option be to run my Cree XM L2 U2 at full output?

I have a few ideas running through my head, But suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

The only option to run the XML at full output is to get a different driver. You want one with an output of 3A (or a little less, or if you are bold, a little more) and a range that includes 3.1-3.3V.

Who makes that driver? I googled it and got nothing.

You coul also try finding a 7V transformer and use LM350 for up to 3A output. It's not the most efficient way but it does the job.
