Hi to all!
I tried searching in the forums, but I could not find anything about it.
I wonder if can be replaced (change) the leds seoul P4 of the Ultra Belt headlamp.
I would like to replace them with a more powerful LEDS.
Can someone help me?
The petzl ultra rush which LEDs mounts?

The easiest way to update Ultra will be to replace the old SSC P4 emiters, T-bin 80.0 ~ 91.0 lumens @ 350mA with newest V3-bin 140.0~ 154.0 lumens @ 350mA - also you can change the color tint.

Sorry to be that "open" ...
.. but I do not think that someone asking for that is able to do it ...
;)

because it is so obvious:
* 1st You have to open the light (at best without damaging the most likely snap on parts of the housing,
* remove interiors till You have the leds openly in front of You, checking how they are mounted
* if they are mounted to be "removable"/swappable, get the latest models (Cree XP-G2, Cree XM-L2) with the same mouting base - when lucky its the "standard" hex base
* remove old, put in new led
* done
--> no rocket science
:rolleyes:

but I wish You good luck,
maybe show is some good pictures of the light (housing from a few directions and the led directly from the front) and we will be able to help with some advice.

PS: the easiest (and best, imho) way to "mod" that piece of plastic crap is, to get an actual 1*18650 ALUMINIUM headlamp like the Zebralight H600 ...
hence, even the six diodes alone are almost a full zebralight and there is no safety, that the new ones will work good with the old optics (might, but not granted)

yellow, he can simply buy those leds, go to the local "cell phone repair" and ask to replace the led's on pcb...

rofos, you will have to look for a local distributor and ask for the best bin - i.e. in Digikey they have only rank U3 - W42180-U3

* 10,-- per individual led ... if it were available there
* difficulties to be sure on what model exactly to be chosen,
* not even starting with a "good" light to be modded (plastic = unsuitable),

the best advice simply is to get an actual light instead

So the change is not to be done?!
I tried to find an LED on this site
http://www.led-tech.de/en/index.html
but I haven't found anything (I think) that would fit.
I believed that the modification it was easier to do.
The idea was to replace the leds mounted in the ultra rush on the ultra belt.
I don't think petzl has upset the PCB and the electronics
I don't know..... :-(
