McR-38 question

Will this reflector fit inside a Surefire Z46 (M3) bezel?. What was it originally designed for?.

The Makai uses the McR38, I believe .... Likely too large for the M3 bezel (without modification).

It was originally designed for the Aleph-3 light which was one of a family of Aluminium E-series lego lights with interchangeable light engines (Aleph Series) that McGizmo designed many years ago when I was first starting out along this strange hobby.

The Makai reflector is similar, and is 38mm wide, but its not exactly the same as the original McR38. The vertical distance from bottom to top of the Makai reflector is slightly less.

Sorry, but I don't know the answer to your first question. (whether it will fit in the Surefire Z46 or M3 bezel)

I knew that the A3 originally used the McR38, but didn't realize that reflector was not identical to that of the Makai. Thanks for clarifying that, easilyled .

I came across a thread (2008) where it does fit if you remove the lens retaining lip.
