Not sure where this should go (Home made) HID or Dive lights.
It's all of the above.

I built an MR11 (Welsh Allen) Cannister Dive light.
It works great.
The battery pack is 10 NIMH c cells. (which I am fed up with)
I hate having to remember to charge my light just before (day or two) the planned dive.

I've been looking for a rechargeable lithium ion & found this at Deal Extremes.

Anyone tried these?
Price is great & voltage / current look right on to me.

Yep, bought a couple off Ebay - turned out to be 3 or 4 Ah true capacity. Real disappointment plus they warned me no more than 1 or 2 amp draw. Tiny internal and external wires - maybe 22 AWG but probably closer to 26 AWG. What does the MR11 require?

I agree with BVH,I bought 1 also.It worked for a short time running a 3x XM-L drop in and then died, I pulled it apart, found 1 dead cell. The batteries were flat flexible packs used in android pads
Doubt they have enough amps to run a dive light, don't waste your money. The cheap charger that came with the pack is now being used to recharge a 12v pack made from 18650's , seems to work okay, however only charges slowly to 11.9v overnight.

I am presently using a 1 amp (impedance limited)12V automotive battery trickle charger. It charges at about 0.75 to 0.8 ampheres when cells are flat, and drops off to about 0.4 amps as the cell near fully changed.
The WA MR11 starts at 1.5 amps, (loading ballast) then runs steady at o.9 amps.

Thanks for the feed back. I had a feeling that the price was too good to be true.
The alternative is this one: http://www.batteryspace.com/12.8V-6.6Ah-84Wh-16A-rate-for-Diving-light.aspx
Its $95 , plus charger: http://www.batteryspace.com/smartcharger30afor128v4cellslifepo4batterypack110-240vac.aspx at $30 (Total $125)
