One thing i dont understand, is how does one change the current from 1A to 0.5A does the LUC V4 offer this option?

About the VC4 charging only at 500mAh, I meant for 4 batteries at the same time. If its really good, I could be patient and wait a bit longer.
The only gripe I have regarding the Opus is that i read that it can be loud (or at least distracting because of the fan).
I'm looking to spend around $40
