IMR safety in Peak lights

I believe that IMR are not recommended for any (current) Peak torches ....

Has to do with the "semi-regulated" drivers, IIRC.

In most cases, compared with ICR, you would also lose both capacity (runtime) and the option for a protection circuit (on the larger cells).

I thought I had read that somewhere, thanks. I just ran across a couple IMR10440s that somehow didn't make it into my rechargeables case. I was hoping to utilize them. I'll have to check some of my other AAA lights for compatibility.

I originally ran an eFest IMR 10440 in my Eiger, but switched to a NiMH AAA when it ran down, and I killed my charger by hooking it up backwards. I haven't drained the NiMH yet, to think about swapping back....
