It's birthday time and the mrs sparked off my desire to own a touch I don't need - but want.

i had decided on the TM15 a year or so ago but didn't make the plunge.

requirements:

1 ) to show off
2 ) mix of long throw and flood
3 ) camping and late night walking tool.
4 ) respect for having a cool torch
5 ) budget £175 but can be stretched for the perfect torch

Thanks

Yes vinhs world is a must:twothumbs

I love my tm15,great light so can not not recommend that tbh  ,also charge cells for convenience in house too.
Good throw and flood probably tk75(2900lm) but breathed on by vinh so tk75vn at around 4400lm with carrier mods etc etc .
My tk75vn dome on 4400lm next to tm15

Both eat 4x18650 protected cells

Then there is the tk75 kt (killer throw) de-domed for more through but still flood very good and vinhs fav amongst many of the tk75 modded versions.

I like the tn35vn a lot,mtg2 at 3500lm ,great tint,good throw and flood too.........

Eats 3x18650 and use IMR as beefed up carrier makes longer cells too tight

Lots of other excellent lights ,have a search through vinhs section as suggested by poppy and see what suits best:twothumbs

Cheers guys!

Do I assume that the TM15s from China on eBay are not the real thing?

can anyone recommend an eBay seller?

That is where they come from China as with many brands like fenix for example.

There is a newer tm15 out with slightly higher lumens due to new leds at 2650lm. As its a 200lm difference(not really noticeable)make a decision on costs in comparison to the older tm15

Regarding sellers, check feed back, look into a little before buying,

Expect around £120 ish+

Being honest, and as its your birthday,i would go for that little extra special
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?374328-WTS-TK75vn-4400L

Choose tint, also KT version to look into,it really is an astonishing light:twothumbs

Adv at later date if you want longer run times, extension kits can be bought for around £20 so over doubles run times.............just a thought but would need a separate charger. No biggie as xtar and nitecore i4 offer great value again for under £20

So I'm now the proud owner of a TM15 :)

Going to take the dogs out in a bit for a proper test but what a bright thing.

However, like my cars, always interested in the modding scene so will be looking to see what can be done.

What a lovely made piece of kit!
