Old Surefire W116C questions

I just picked up a cool old school Surefire W116C weaponlight (for Beretta 92) for a really good price. I read you can switch the battery direction and use a Malkoff LED drop-in. I also read you can use a Dremel to grind the rail attachment to remove the little forward facing nub that prevents direct attachment to a pistol rail (with out the rail adapter). My only question is this: how do I deal with the pressure switch? It only fits around a Beretta 92 trigger guard and grip. It doesn't look like its removable. Can I just cut it off and use the constant on switch on the side? Will cutting off the grip switch make the light inoperable? I need some help, advice. Thanks!

There is a black plastic cover that hides the screws that secure the pressure switch to the light body and the solder connections.
Remove the 1/16 allen head screw and pull the cover.
Desolder the 2 connections
Unscrew the pressure switch and remove.
Resolder the wires in the light body so that now only the slide-switch works.
Reinstall the cover and screw

Hope that helps.
