Distance between drivers and emitters

I have read that it is very important to keep the drivers as close as possible to the actual LED's. However, I have a space problem and would like to stretch this a mite

I will be coming off a Meanwell CC 1000mA driver and the distance to the first LED will be roughly 36" and total distance from the driver to the end of the lead is 100" 8 - 12 HP emitters per driver

Will this work?

Thank you

As long as you use proper gauge wiring, yes. But keep in mind that there will be some voltage drop in the wiring which will the driver have to compensate, so don't push the driver to the upper voltage limit.
