Big Upgrading questions
Question 1: If you got a V1 should you upgrade to V2?
Answer 1: IMO the performance increase is not enough to justify the money. But if you like the new UI, want the extra performance and money is not a big deal then sure why not.
Question 2: Should you buy a V1 or V2?
Answer 2: Let the UI be the first priority determining factor.
For me personally I am retiring my V1
TK61vn V2 Specs and Details
- L1 = .200
- L2 = 1.550
- L3 = 3.600
- L4 = ~7-7.5A Depening on Cells
TK61vn V2 User Interface:
1) Starting from OFF: Each fast click = L1 Low -> L2 Medium -> L3 High -> L4 Turbo -> OFF
2) Starting from OFF: Press & Hold = Instant Momentary Turbo, let go to turn OFF
3) During ON at any mode: Press & Hold Greater Than 1 second = Momentary Turbo, let go to return to previous mode
4) During this operation 3 above: Light will flash into 1 lower mode for 1 second before going into momentary turbo if you are at ON, If you let go of the button during this one second you will remain at that lower mode. This allow you to ramp down brightness to a desire level or to OFF if you are at L1 Low.
5) During On at any mode: The fastest way I found to turn off the light is just fast click until the light gets to OFF
The UI above might sounds confusing but it's intuitive during practice. IMO, this UI serve this type of dedicated thrower well. You can always be sure a fast click from OFF gets you Low and a Long Press from off gets get Turbo.
* Lockout the light by loosening the head & tail cap when not in use, during storage or transportation.
* Quality Protected 18650 Only
