T8 & LED Information?

I understand that T8 fluorescent bulbs require a dimmable ballast, if I want to dim them.

But I want to use LED T8 bulbs, which are designed as replacements for T8 fluorescent bulbs. Do I still need a dimmable ballast, if I want to dim them - or is it sufficient to use a dimmer switch with a regular ballast, because they're LEDs?

Thanks!

I will pin my answer on one line in the page you cite:
"Controls: Dimmable (ballast dependent)"

To me that means that if you want to dim you will at least need a dimmable ballast, and that may not even include all dimmable ballast models.

I hoped they were just leaving out info for simplification, because it's a T8 replacement. Bummer.

Just because it is a T8 replacement does not mean that it will do things that a T8 will *not* do in the same fixture!
