I saw a while back an article about using the tailcap from a Supbeam K40 or X40 to charge the Thrunite TN31 etc.

From what I can gather if the tailcap of a Supbeam light is used on Thrunite TN31 the battery carrier from the Supbeam must also be used in the TN31 as well.

Does anyone know where that link or any info is about doing this?

It's the X40 that has the tailcap charging. At the very least you'll need the X40 battery carrier as well as the lead.

I have a few TN31 series of lights that I could use this method of charging on.

The X40 is right as it has 3 x 18650 batteries in the battery carrier and probably the X60 could be used as well.

I have a stock Supbeam K50 V2 coming next week.

Next week I also have a stock Zebralight SC52 L2 (XM-L2) coming and an Olight SR52VN modded by Vin.

Big week for me and Christmas is nowhere in sight yet!

I won't be able to use the Supbeam K50 V2 model parts on the TN31 series because it is a 4 x 18650 battery carrier which has a larger diameter.
