So I'm in the drawing stage of creating "busts" of heads and I want to put LEDs behind the eyes. I also want to put a switch on the bottom of the bust so the LEDs can be turned on or off.

Is there a website that sells this sort of connection already put together, that way I don't have to look for circuit boards and do a bunch of soldering?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Here are some basic questions we'll need to know:

How bright do you want it to be? If you don't know in lumens or lux, how bright is it in the viewing room?

How much space do you have inside the bust for this widget?

What is your budget? How many sets are needed?

What power is available? 120VAC? Batteries only?

What country is it in?

1.) not that bright. It's not meant to be light bulb or anything.

2.) I think the height will be around 6" for the first one with a decent amount of room to place the led. It's the head of Shockwave from Transformers. Then I'll be doing the head of Optimus Prime, Megatron and so on and so on.

3.) Shockwave will be yellow and then others will be red, so I'll probably need 30-50 of each. I know LEDs are like $.25 a piece, so it's no big deal.

4.) not sure about power source. 9 volt? 2 AA's?

5.) I'm in the usa

Ok so I went ahead and ordered this led for my project:

http://www.gravitech.us/ledyedi20.html

Now I just need to know how to power it.

Do you think a 15v battery will power it or should I somehow wire 2 9v batteries.

If I did do 2 9v batteries, how would I wire up 2 batteries?
