Not sure if anyone cares . . .
My local "hole in the wall" gun shop is many decades old and operated by somewhat of a hoarder. This guy has a lot of old stock, so much that even tho' I've been shopping there for a good 5 years now, there are still things that can be overlooked.
I noticed today on a back shelf a bunch of light bulbs. Some old Mag PR bulbs, some streamlight stinger, scorpion, and others, and among them, this:
I've never seen one of these before, tho' I vaguely recall reading about them. It's a GE 786. Rated 6v, 2a, 12watts.
This would make it slightly stronger then the current Mag Charger bulb.
He had only the one. There were some modern charger bulbs also.
I couldn't wait to open it up and try it out, but suddenly, I'm not so sure.
Now I'm wondering if this is some sort of extinct treasure.
I can't help wondering if it has a collector value.
The package is fragile, I can feel the glue is about to let go.
Should I open it ?
