I'm glad to see that these are more efficient than the Ledare 600 lm bulbs. Do these also have a higher than normal CRI? The 600 lm bulbs are listed as having a CRI of >87.

Yes, same CRI>87 declaration. They are said to stink like hell, though -- my 11Watt Ledares did not. It might be harder to notice in a lab full of electronics, but maybe electronupdate noticed? Part of the efficacy boost is probably related to the simpler geometry: no metal podium inside.

Thank you for your review.

The level of scientific analysis is amazing.

Disappointed in the apparently poor heatsinking.

Disappointed in not really that scientific.

Dimming performance based on one dimmer ... meaningless almost.

Declaring poor thermal performance, without measuring the solder point temp, looking at the drive current, extrapolating junction temp -- and not knowing the LED and what the LM80 is like which is quite different for different LEDs even within the same brand.

Same could be said for even looking at cap rating without noting the operating voltage, ripple current, etc.

It's easy to throw something under a bus or give it thumbs up, but it takes real engineering to determine whether something is quality or not.
