Well, it is fixed lighting. They did exceed their Kickstarter target so there is a chance the product will hit the market.

Well my toilet in my new apartment apparently clogs by putting even the slightest bit of whatever down it... so now I can have a swirling colorful mess whenever it does!

i have read about something similar years ago, in fact that idea was even more usefull, the light would be green, if the seat was up, red if seat was down. but i have never seen or heard it sold anywhere.

They're missing the boat here. Include UV LEDs that turn on after the flush and you can automatically check for splatter.
