What size pipe to run c-cells in a d-cell light?

Greetings all,

A simple question: what size pipe or hose/tubing to run c-cells in a d-cell light? I have a couple of Sams Choice 3-d lights with the lovely facetted reflectors that I want to run some jbechto 4-led 6 volt bulbs in.

1" Schedule 40 is what I used to fit C-cells in a D-cell MagLight.

Yea, 1" pvc from the hardware store. Works great.

Cool, thanks! I suspected that 1-inch pvc might work, but I hated to go in the hardware store and start stuffing batteries into pipes to see.
