Alex-

Very cool mod.
May we ask you where you got the aspherical lens?

Alex-

Did the aspheric need any special mods to make it fit?

Since you removed the reflector, what's supporting the back of the aspheric? Did you put in a plastic or metal in side collar to support the aspheric?

I am really impressed at what you did.

Guys! Alex is onto something here!

He's discovered 'antimatter' for Vinh ' s classic D25cvn v3!

Way cool!

I sure did but its not perfect. Im sure vinh could make it better.

How to convert
Take the lens out of the k3. It will look like the first picture with the rubber gasket lip face down. For it to work in the d25c2vn take off the rubber gasket(third picture) and reverse it so the lip is face up(second picture). Now when i first tryed to put it in the light it was lose so i put a small strip of electrical take around the outside of the gasket 1 maybe 2 wraps should do it to get a nice snug fit. now when you wedge fit(pic 5) it in the light the lens gets tighter and more ridged so it wont move. perfect focal length is where the lens is at in the photo. then just put the bezel on and our golden. Now even tho the lens is wedged pretty good it can still move so im sure vinh could think of a more clever way to secure it.

Alex, thanks for sharing this with us!
I don't have the aspheric from your original flashlight.
I'll need to do a Google search for similar sized aspherics.

I must say the aspherical lens would work much better with a dedomed xpg2 or e2 led. The throw increase while about 20% more is not enough to justify the lumen loss due to aspheric with my dome on xpl

Vinh- This would be a nice evolution of the light. Don't you think? Can we all say the "V-4"
