Hello,
I got an used Petzl Duo flashlight and now I would like to make my first homemade flashlight.
The idea is to use a single led with 3 or 4 power settings, something like 200,500 and 1000 (used only for very quick bursts) lumens.
The Petzl Duo has a 4 AA battery box but It can be adapted to accept 2 or 3 18650 cells.
I'm a complete noob but what I understood looking at various projects is that i need to put a led emitter, a driver board and a heat sink in there. Is it that straightforward? What kind of problem should I consider?
Thank you!
