I'm currently using a Flexblock rated at 700ma at 48V. I'm running (12) 3w 700ma LED's in series. I'd like to run (18) off a Buck block rated at 2100ma and 12v input. http://www.led-professional.com/pro...ma-constant-current-a009-buckblock-led-driver How would I go about that? 6 strings of 3? If I can do an input of 24V can I do 3 strings of 6? What's the best way to do this? And get the brightest output. Thanks

You mention using a 12v input, but then mention using a 24v input... which is correct?

3 strings would allow you to deliver 700mA to each string, which is the rated current for this driver. A string of 6V would require roughly 18v, though, and since the datasheet for the driver says that the output voltage can be no larger than 50% of the input voltage when delivering 2100mA to the LEDs. This means that you'll need 36V at the input to get 18V at the output... however, the datasheet says the input voltage can't be larger than 32V. Sounds like you would be limited to strings of 5 LEDs with a 32V input, or 4 LEDs with a 24V input.

the datasheet is a bit hard to find, but is located here: http://www.luxdrive.com/content/A009_BuckBlock_V1.pdf

I have 2 batteries. I can either use 12v or 24v inputs. Since I already have a Flexblock A011 what would be the best way to hook up a 700ma driver that can put out 48V Using LED's that require 3.5v at 700MA. Thanks . Right now I'm running 12 in series , but would like to run more if I could.

If I don't use the Buck block and stick with the Flex block could I run more than 12 led's. like I said right now there in series. Is there a way to set them in parallel also somehow?

Have you read through the datasheets or tech literature for the drivers that you have? Do you fully understand what is in the datasheets?
