Makai Head and Pack Check In!

Recently, I added the Makai head with an XPG 2, and a 2 X AA pack.

Other Makai owners what LED and pack are you running on your Makai?

Also, I am going to add green Tritium vials to the face of the LE next to the LED like I did on my Mule.
Has anyone else added Trit. Vials to their Makai?

I think the 2 X 6mm vials will fit the Makai, there seems enough room. They should look fantastic!

No one has a Makai, and your experienced use of it to tell us?

Mine throws hundreds of yards in the pitch dark desert. A big tree came down the other day, and that night, from 100 yards, I lit up at least 10 sets of eyes on all the cats and kittens that came out to inspect and investigate the downed tree, and catch bugs.

In fact, I can walk up to the flight distance that the cats have, about 3.5 feet, and they don't know what the light is, when they realize you are there, they split pretty quick.

It can be dark in the desert when you get away from any built up area, so this is great for me to check around at night.

will have 2 here shortly. one on a 2x123 pak, and the other on a single 123 pak.

primary uses will be: lighting up the north part of my yard looking for critters by the creek... and just generally lighting up stuff "just because I can"....

They really throw a great beam, don't they? I love mine more every
time I use it.

I agree that the Makai head puts out a great beam profile. I just wish it was more pocket friendly...

Have you owned an XML Makai to compare to the XPG2?

I had a 1x123 Makai XML and sold it. Thinking about an XPG2 with Hive

I think the xpg2 or 119 would be my choice, others may know more of the XML in that head?

I think I would go with the hive.
