4.35V or hi-grain 18650s for 3+Amp flashlights and parasitic resistance losses?

I am trying to find the "proper" batteries for 2 applications.
One is a 3+A AMC7135 XML mod that I still battle with parasitic resistance somewhere in the materialization,
and the otehr is a DIY 7.2V 2S2P powerbank for my handheld radio that has voltage losses on the 1meter long connecting cable.

So what would be a proper strategy?
Go with the 4.35V batteries to compensate for voltage losses
or go with high drain batteries?

Candidates are
Samsung INR18650-29E 2900mAh Blue - 4.3V
Sanyo UR18650ZTA 3000mAh Magenta - 4.3V
LG 18650 E1 3200mAh Green - 4.3V
LG 18650 D1 3000mAh Pink - 4.3V

LG ICR18650HE2 3.6V 2500mAh - hi drain
Samsung INR18650-25R 3.6V 2500mAh - hi drain

the first four appear in HKJ's comparator, and limited to 3A there is an edge for the LG 18650 D1 3000mAh Pink

If you have voltage losses in a 1 meter power cable, either there are problems with connectors, the size of the wire is much too small or both. Unless the current is measured in tens of amps, there is no reason such a cable should lose more than .2 volts .1 ohm. 16 (1.29mm) gauge copper would be about .07 ohms (@ 3amps ,.21 volts), 12 (2.05mm) gauge copper would be about .035 ohms(@3 amps, .1 volts) for 2 meters (1 meter each for + and -)

As far as batteries go, 3 amps is generally within the capability of just about reputable Li-Ion 18650. for more than that you might want to look at the Panasonic Hybrid cells (ncr 18650pd IIRC) which are rated for 10 amps, for much more than that IMR cells would be recommended (and they are on you list)

In short, I don't think the batteries are the issue.

Big wire is cheaper than getting super-premium batteries and giving up the benefits of them. If it's not crimped 8-gauge stranded, you aren't using impractically-large wire yet.

I use Samsung 25R's and they work great. Banggood have them at a good price, search for "25R".

I also like Efest (find them on ebay). The 3100mAh 20A ones are great for good performance and longer runtimes (have some of these too). Or the 2500mAh 35A if you have something with a need for higher performance.
