Hi All. I have a 55w HID flashlight that my daughter turned on whilst it was upright on the carpet. WOW did it get hot and burn a hole in my not too nice carpet.

Well that bulb lasted no longer so I replaced it. What is weird is I have two batteries. They would have sat on their chargers (I have two) for some time. But now they will not turn off. I hit the button and the LED indicator comes on, then second click I get the correct change in LED indicator colour and third click the LED goes off but the torch still runs. I have to release the battery to stop the torch!

Weird. especially when both batteries are doing it. I can only think leaving them on the charger for so long has blown something in the on/off control.

Does anybody have a circuit diagram of a HID battery control? I think I can fix I just need a little direction.

Many thanks

IF you heated the torch up to the point that the carpet was burnt, it's possible that you melted the switch.

How about a manufacturers name and model number?
