HI !

I read all thread... but I'm stay undecided..

HP30 or HP12 ??

Use for : Hicking, camping, climbing.

Does the HP12 have enought angle ? Does the HP30 Diffuser give more 'flood' then HP12 ? Does atenuate the light ?

Hey There,

I'm new to the headlamp game. As a bit of a disclaimer, I just bought the 3-pack from Costco for 12 bucks. I bought them because I needed to re-insulate my attic but they have been incredibly handy for chopping wood, fishing and just generally bombing around at night at the cottage etc.

That being said, I'm not the expert...

Personally, I'd go with the HP30 though. I feel that for the few bucks extra you'll likely get a longer run time out of the 18650's (they may be interchangeable, again, not an expert) and the larger foot print of the lamp itself probably makes it a bit more comfortable to wear for longer periods.

Just a few thoughts.

What are you leaning towards?

Thanks,

Wall,

I did a video field test review of the HP12 and will post that along with some pics in a few days or so (opening day trout takes prescient). Yes the HP12 has a W-----I-----D----E beam.
